This statement is to clarify any accessibility concerns that participants of a Rage Session might have. If there is anything that is not covered by this, or if you have a more specific question, please contact me by email or through the Telegram group.
Rage is for everyone, for all bodies and minds. You deserve to express your anger, whatever your ability. I will not tell you how to move or how to vocalize. I may suggest parts of your body or types of vocalization, but these are only to inspire you, not to prescribe it. All movements and vocalizations in rage sessions are driven by you.
What matters to me is that you engage authentically with your own experience, your own body, your own emotions, whatever that looks like for you.
I have held space for people with various disabilities, including multiple people with cerebral palsy, ADHD, autism, and a wheelchair user. My intention in naming this is to give you a sense that your disability needs are welcome here, and I will do my best to accommodate them. This is not always possible, and I appreciate your understanding and patience with this.
I answer a lot of actual questions I’ve gotten in the FAQ section, and would like to make this as thorough as possible. If you have any questions not covered here or in the FAQ, please reach out and ask them.
Aids Available During Sessions
These materials will be available for each session.
COVID Schnelltests and Masks
Schnelltests will be taken before every session, and masks provided until the tests are confirmed negative. If you can take a test at home instead, it’s appreciated.
Ear Protection
Soft disposable ear-plugs and 1 pair of over-ear protection are available for those who need it. If you know that you need over-ear protection in advance, try to bring your own.
Comfy Stuff
Depending on location, there will be chairs, bean bags, pillows, and blankets available to use before, during, and after the session. Feel free to bring your own comforts with you.
Venues
We seek out venues that are as accessible as possible, my priorities being wheelchair accessibility and at least one gender-neutral toilet. This is not always possible, and it will be stated clearly what the accessibility of the space is. Regular venues will be listed below.

groove – Zentrum für Percussion
groove is the main location and home for RAGE Sessions.
Here is the Rage Session page on the groove website, and my teaching profile on their website.
groove is on the ground floor with a ramp to the entrance. There is a small ledge at the entrance to the café, less than 1 cm high. From the café to Room A there is a short ramp that equalizes the height between the café and Room A (this is because a dance floor has been installed in Room A). Both are easily accessible by wheelchair.
There is a gender-neutral disabled toilet in the café and 2 small gendered toilets with stalls and urinals in the hall connecting the other studio rooms.

STUDIO 2
The STUDIO2 of the International Theater Institute has limited barrier-free access. It is located on the second floor of Kunstquartier Bethanien in Berlin-Kreuzberg and can be used 24/7. Wheelchairs of almost all sizes can enter the studio via a small threshold. The door is 200 cm high and 140 cm wide.
Unfortunately, the changing room and sanitary facilities in the studio are only 96 cm and 56 cm wide respectively. A barrier-free toilet is located on the first floor of Kunstquartier Bethanien. A shower is located on the second floor of the building and is not barrier-free.
An elevator to the door of the studio is available in the building on request and can be used to a limited extent for wheelchairs and people with restricted mobility. We will be happy to help you arrange this. The elevator has a door width of 116 cm, a total width of 148 cm, a length of 248 cm and a height of 220 cm.
